RULES FOR ALL TEAMS
The tournament is played with FIBA rules, with Norwegian interpretations and the following adjustments
• No dunking allowed. This also applies during warmups. Technical foul is given. Points scored from a dunk will be cancelled.
• Every team can use as many players as they want during the tournament, but only 12 players in each game. No player is allowed to play for more than one team per age group
• All games are played 2x12 mins effective time.
• Last 1 minute: The clock does stop after a made basket.
• All games, all age groups: 4 personal fouls, 6 team fouls in each half (shooting from the 7th).
• One timeout per half, also in all finals. Timeout from the 1st half can not be transferred to the second half, but the teams will get 1 extra timeout in overtime. Which means: Only 1 timeout in each half, only 1 timeout in overtime.
• Balls: U13 play with a 5 ball. Other girl groups play with a 6 ball, all other boys groups are played with a 7 ball.
• All age groups shoot free throws.
• Teams not ready to play according to scheduled time will lose the game on a WO. If there is a kit clash, the away team has to change unless the teams agrees on other solutions.
• The 24 second clock will be left to the referees to apply. The referees will call out 10 and 5 seconds remaining on the shot clock.
• If the game is tied after regular time: 1 OT period of 2 minutes. If the game is still tied – sudden death after jump ball.
• Substitutions can be made at any time, as well as during the game in all age groups. Substitutions must be made outside of the court. Too many players on the court at the same time will result in a first warning. Following occurrences will result in a technical foul.
Adjustments U16 and younger:
• No zone defense is allowed, neither half or full court zone press.
Adjustments U14 and younger:
• No on-ball screens allowed. Even handoffs on a closely guarded team mate.
• 3-point shots are not awarded.
Adjustments U13
• Man-man full court press is allowed only in the last 5 minutes of the game, but not if the team is up by more than 15 points.
• All players must play in the game, substitutions are registered.
• Free throws: yes, but the referees will make adjustments as to from which distance. Approx 60cm slack.
• 3-point shots are not awarded.
• Unlike EasyBasket rules: The game starts with a jump ball, thereafter alternate possessions.
The teams may agree on using a larger ball size for the game.
Easy Basket U8-12 - Standard EB rules, Ball size 5. EXCEPTION: 6 periods of 4 minutes each are played. 1 min break between periods.
