We are excited to bring the Ammerud Open back to its original concept from over 50 years ago—and create an international season finale that is equally thrilling for foreign and Norwegian teams! By moving the tournament from early May to mid-June and renaming it the Oslo International Basketball Tournament Ammerud Open, we aim to build an event that includes more age groups and attracts teams from across the World.
We are now expanding the age categories up to U19, allowing more youth teams to participate, while naturally retaining the offering for the youngest players starting from age 8. Through collaboration with Oslo’s basketball clubs as co-organizers, we ensure a professional and inclusive experience for all participants—regardless of age or nationality.
Our goal? To establish the Oslo International Basketball Tournament Ammerud Open as Norway’s premier season finale—where every team, no matter where they come from, enjoys a memorable conclusion to the basketball season!
