About the tournament

Oslo International Ammerud Open is new from 2026, but it grew out of the Ammerud Open tournament, which has been organised by Ammerud Basket for over 50 years. The tournament is a collaboration between several basketball clubs in the Oslo area to ensure a great event.

The goal is to create an attractive meeting place for basketball fans from many countries and cultures in Oslo. In 2026, 177 teams took part, with around 2,000 players aged 8 to 19. So that everyone feels part of the big basketball celebration, all A and B finals from U13 to U19 are played together at our superb main arena, Apalløkka.
